Dear members of Narashino Parish
✞May the peace of the Lord be with you
In accordance with extension of the implementation of priority measures to prevent the spread of the disease
We have had two heavy snowfalls this year, and I am sure that some of you have felt colder than usual, so please keep warm yourself.
Last year, due to the declaration and extension of the state of emergency, the public masses were cancelled until the first Sunday of March. This year, “the implementation of priority measures to prevent the spread of the disease " have been extended until March 6, so I think we will have to cancel the open mass until the measures are lifted. We would like to inform you of the following
1. Sunday Masses:
Sunday Masses will be cancelled until March 6.
(7:30am; 10:00am; Children's Mass 2:30pm; Portuguese Mass; Vietnamese Mass)
2. Ash Wednesday Masses.
The scheduled 7:00 p.m. Mass on Wednesday, March 2 will be canceled.
However, there will be a Mass and Ashes Blessing on that morning.
If you would like to receive the ashes, please contact the church office.
I pray that Jeremiah's words will be our encouragement and hope during this time of self-restraint and
Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD,
whose trust is the LORD.
He is like a tree planted by the water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remains green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
