Last week, on the 28th, we entered the advent season.  It is the period of preparation for the birth of the Lord.  We have already been cleaning the chapel and the hall.  We also finished decorating the front of the chapel with illuminations, as well as setting up the stable and the Advent Kranz in the cathedral.  All that remains is to prepare our hearts.

Tomorrow, December 5th, the second Sunday of the month, we will have a joint conversion (sacrament of penance and reconciliation) with Father Yamauchi of the Society of St. Paul and Father Santiago Dindo of the Society of the Divine Word.  We especially asked Father Santiago Dindo for English and Tagalog.

At the 5:00 p.m. Mass, we will welcome Father Thien of the Society of St. Columban to receive the sacrament of penance and reconciliation in Vietnamese.

The 12th will be the first Mass of the new priest Miyake, and the Sacrament of Forgiveness will be available before and after Mass.  May we all welcome the Lord into our hearts and into our families through the celebration of His birth.

I will send you the Liturgy of the Masses scheduled for December.  Let us pray together according to the prayer intentions of the churches in the world and also those in Japan.
